Midnight Marauders is the third studio album by American hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest, released on November 9, 1993, by Jive Records. The album was recorded between January and September 1993 at several studios in New York City, including Battery Studios, Platinum Island Studios, and Scorcerer Sound. Its production was primarily handled by Q-Tip, with contributions from Skeff Anselm, Large Professor, and the group's DJ, Ali Shaheed Muhammad. The album features an eclectic sound that blends jazz, funk, soul, and R&B samples, complemented by socially conscious and humorous lyrics.

Commercially, Midnight Marauders performed well, peaking at number eight on the Billboard 200 and securing the top position on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The singles "Award Tour" and "Electric Relaxation" charted on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching positions 47 and 65, respectively. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on January 14, 1994, and achieved platinum status on January 11, 1995, signifying shipments of one million copies in the United States.

Critically, the album received positive reviews upon its release and has since been recognized as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time. In 2020, Rolling Stone ranked it at number 201 on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
