Persistence Of Time released in 1990, the fifth studio album released by Anthrax and unarguably their best work. Combined with Joey’s vocals and Dan Spitz as the lead guitarist, Persistence Of Time makes for a really fun listen to on your album listening journey. My favourite tracks from the album include Time, Blood, Keep It In The Family, Belly Of The Beast, Got The Time, H8 Red. Frank’s groovy bass line, Dan’s technical style of going batshit crazy on the guitar solos make it an overall amazing first time listen. Considered to be the underdog among the Big 4 (amongst Thrash Metal bands), Persistence of time is unarguably a thrash essential for me. Everything about the album, from the lead guitarist going utterly wild on the solos, to the songwriting, the production, and the theme of wanting more peace and tolerance, is fantastic.
